Zephyr Point sits on the shores of Lake Tahoe “Da ow ga” as a center of excellence cultivating spiritual growth, recreation, and learning in an inclusive environment of natural beauty, hospitality, and peace. As a member of the Zephyr Point Internship Program, young adults ages 20-26 are invited to join a spiritually-grounded, living-learning community where they can grow professionally, spiritually, and interpersonally. Each intern will have a set of “core hours” spent specifically in one department, these placements are available in the following areas: Accounting & Finance, Marketing & Development, Guest Services, Youth Program Development, and Maintenance & Grounds. Interns will have ample time to focus on personal exploration and growth including weekly small groups engaging in topics related to spiritual life and practice, environmental and social justice, and leadership. Inspired by the mission of Zephyr Point, program participants will have the opportunity to experience God through education, exploration, and inspiration. September 1st, 2025 – May 29th, 2026 (with the option to add on summer employment following internship conclusion).

YATC is closing out the year in gratitude, celebrating some of our favorite things. We’ll start by introducing our member sites over the next several days. When you support YATC with a one-time or monthly donation, or add us to your organizational budget for 2025, you’re helping us sustain and support these young adult transformation programs for years to come! Donate today using the link in our bio.
Today, we are grateful for Camp Hanover, a new YATC site this year, expanding our offerings into the camp and conference world. Located in Mechanicsville, VA, Hanover is a ministry partner with Presbyterian Church (USA). Their MVP program (“Mission, Vocation, Practice”), led by Associate Director of Programs Harry Zweckbronner, is part internship in outdoor ministry and part intentional community. They have 3 young adults in the MVP program this year.

Today, we are grateful for Tucson Mennonite Voluntary Service, a new site to our growing ecumenical ecosystem! But they are not new to the work - Tucson MVS has served the southern Arizona borderlands for over 50 years. Led by coordinator Lisa Showalter and supported by Shalom Mennonite Fellowship and a local support committee, the program is hosting 4 volunteers this year. With a location in the borderlands and near several indigenous tribes, Tucson MVS is shaped by the realities of colonialism and immigration.

Today, we are grateful for Hands and Feet of Asheville, a true original when it comes to YATC, one of our founding sites! Hosting 6 fellows this year in the mountains of Western North Carolina, Hands and Feet is led by Program Director Galia Binder and a dedicated volunteer board. It has been a challenging year due to the devastating impacts of Hurricane Helene, but after a brief evacuation, the fellows are back in their local placements, helping with recovery and serving the community through agencies addressing issues of housing, climate resilience, disability and more!

On this Giving Tuesday, YATC appreciates your support! Your donations support:
- 13 Young Adult fellows
- 3 sites in Asheville, Tucson, and Camp Hanover
- Site leaders and board members leading each site
- Growing our collective by inviting new sites to join in the coming year
- Building an ecosystem of partners walking alongside young adults in discernment and seeking a transformed, healed, just world
- YATC’s first staff member
Thank you for investing in our growing collective! Donation link in bio.

Sunsets and Snow and Harry from Hanover, oh my! The weather showed out for Matt’s trip to exhibit for YATC at the Campfire Collective conference at Zephyr Point on Lake Tahoe.
We chatted with current Member Sites like @camphanover and had exciting conversations about adding camps and conference centers to our Collective. Stay tuned and reach out if your site is interested in learning more about YATC!

Meet Matt!
“Hey y’all, I am Matt Hartley (he/him), and I started in July as YATC’s Community Coordinator. I am excited to join the Collective at this pivotal moment in its early history and to work with our member sites, partners from all over, and young adults as we seek to be transformed together through spirit, justice, and community.
I come to YATC after almost 20 years of working with youth and young adults, as a teacher, youth minister, academic researcher, and Interfaith professional. I am a proud Presbyterian (more of a Committees stan than a Calvin stan) but have found the most life at the intersections of diversity, whether that be ecumenically, across the boundary between religious and non-religious, or across any of the tiles of our human mosaic.
I hail from Jacksonville and rest assured my Florida Man bona fides are unimpeachable: I have leaped over a Rattlesnake in the wild. My wife and I were married a year ago in May and our son was born this May. He is being showered with love by his older sister, 15, and brother, 13. We love the movies, going out to the baseball diamond in the neighborhood, and playing any tabletop or card game (Clue is the most frequent choice). And we are an Interfaith family, Christian, Non-religious, and Jewish.
I look forward to connecting with more and more of you as we build the Young Adult Transformation Collective and develop deeper connections with our many supporters. As I always say, We are Better Together!”

This week YATC has been with our friends at @ukirknational for their annual gathering, this year held at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center. What a gift to hear from @breyeschow, to share stories and resources with colleagues, and to dream of collaboration in young adult ministry together!

Graduation can feel like being launched off a cliff. YATC's got a safety net! You'll receive housing, health insurance, and a monthly stipend, while working with a local community organization (job experience!) and program staff who are dedicated to helping you explore your life and what you want from it.
Not sure what's next? We want to help you figure it out! Apply today for a year of transformation with a YATC program. Link in bio!

YATC Core Values - Antiracism
We work hard and intentionally to combat racism and the interlocking oppressions that white supremacy empowers, both within our collective and through our members' work. We know that this is ongoing work - a way of life, not a destination. Without perfection and with a focus on always trying to improve, we move forward to the liberated world we imagine.

Whether you want to explore your life in the canyons and deserts of the Southwest, the fantastical architecture and everyday homes of Washington DC, or the kitchens and gardens of Asheville, you'll find a transformational community to be part of! Joining YATC will give you the chance to collaborate with local community leaders and other young adults in one of these spaces. The hardest part is choosing just one! 😂 (don't worry, our application process includes lots of support for your discernment).

YATC is helping connect different ministries, groups, and organizations with the common goal of young adult transformation. How can we partner with you?

Where do I find trees and water in New Mexico? Oftentimes, folks coming to ABQ are nervous about finding green spaces, or being near water in the high desert. The bosque, or the forested area near the river, follows the Rio Grande through Albuquerque, and is one of our hidden gems! Come find this and other great spots with the ABQ YAV program! Applications open now :)

YATC Core Values - Welcome for All
Everybody's welcome. But not just welcome, which implies those of us inside are inviting in those of us outside... we ask: how can we make space for everybody to be their full selves? How can we celebrate our and each others' identities? How can we support safety and bravery working together in diverse community exploration?
Your voice is important here!
